No, it’s not Sassy Girl, nor Windstruck, nor Full House, nor Coffee Prince, nor Princess Hours, not even It Started With A Kiss. All of the above mentioned Korean Films and TV Series are great in their own rights, but nothing really compares to The Classic [2003] (click here for the plot, but do not if you’re planning to watch this).
So far, it is my favorite love story. The film tells two love stories; first, a love so great that the guy is willing to sacrifice his own happiness just to give his girl a better (but not necessarily happier) life, and second, a love so pure that the guy is afraid to confess his feelings, fearing that the girl doesn’t feel the same. Classic love stories right? And on top of that, the musical scores, lighting, texture and cinematography all work together to tell a sweeter story.
For a hopeless romantic that is into serious relationships like me, this is the perfect love story. This is great for Valentines. Ü
